The most important thing in terms of practice is to do something.
We make heartfelt requests to Buddha Vajrapani. It needs to be similar to when we’ve been really ill and we go to the doctor and we know that they have a really good medicine - we really ask them to help us. We’re talking directly to the Buddhas. It’s important that we connect with them like they’re a person. They can’t not help us. They will send us blessings and they will definitely help.
Feel our entire body filling with blessings - it’s a dependent relationship - we have to be open to them. Really believe this is happening and completely surrender to receiving these blessings. Just believe. Even though it’s imagination, it functions.
The sadhana is like a mini empowerment, topping up the blessings, topping up our faith.
Our contaminated self has to disappear before we self-generate as the deity.
Self-generation is a powerful swift method to become a Buddha, but only if we’ve done the preliminaries properly.
Meditation has 2 parts:
- training in bringing Buddha’s Truth Body into the path
- training in bringing Buddha’s Form Body into the path
Bringing Buddha’s Truth Body into the path
Buddhas were once like us. This is just a temporary evolution for us, eventually we will attain enlightenment Our ordinary body is restricted, this body is material and can’t go through solid objects. But mind can go anywhere. E.g. our mind when we dream.
Buddha’s body and mind are the same nature so there isn’t anywhere that Buddha isn’t.
Our body isn’t ours, it’s come from our parents. According to HYT our real body is our continually residing body, our very subtle body. This is good news because this human body will let us down, and as we age we will lose our confidence. But if we identify with our continually residing body, we will only increase in confidence. Held within it are all the Dharma realisations. You are not your body. When we die it will be like leaving clothes behind. Through Tantra we are training to manifest our very subtle mind. To do this you have to dissolve everything into the v subtle mind. If the gross mind is very distracted you won’t be able to do it.
Guru Vajrapani, the union of spontaneous bliss and emptiness, dissolves and resides at our spiritual heart. Our very subtle body and mind mix with those of Guru Vajrapani’s. Our ordinary body completely disappears. It’s gone. We can’t identify with it anymore. We’ve got to be prepared to completely let go of our ordinary thinking. We should feel that our mind is mixing inseparably with great bliss and emptiness like water mixing with water. The mind is experiencing bliss and it’s perceiving only emptiness. The nature of our very subtle mind is bliss. Whenever it manifests great bliss naturally arises. Upon this impute I, Truth Body.
There has to be a complete surrendering. We can’t hold on to anything.
A spiritual path is faith. We have to believe this is our and everyone’s potential.
Bringing Buddha’s Form Body into the Path
From the state of the Truth Body, out of compassion and bodhichitta, we take the form of Buddha Vajrapani, in Buddha Vajrapani’s world. From the sky of the Dharmakaya, I appear as Vajrapani in the world of Vajrapani. It appears in an instant.
We need to concentrate on this, because our mind doesn’t want to do this. Our challenge is to sit still and allow our mind to focus. When we have strong familiarity with this meditation, we are almost ready to become an enlightened being. When we do this right, our mind becomes very peaceful, very quiet, and very powerful. It’s actually very relaxing. All that worry and tension isn’t functioning.
It is a very profound technical method. We just need to follow the steps. It’s scientific. If you do it everybody gets the same result. We might say we can’t do it, but our SG says we can. Who do we believe?
The way to prove that enlightened beings and worlds exist is through emptiness. You should learn how to use this to solve your daily problems. All it is is a change in perspective.
Our responsibility is to develop and maintain a peaceful mind day and night.
Recitation of the mantra
Reciting this mantra gives us spiritual power.
Dedication
If you haven’t got anything to dedicate it means your mind has been misbehaving.
